Progress Bar
Use dynamic symbols to display the presentation progress. Insert a progress bar with Smarter Slides Light.
With the Progress Bar you have a flexible visual tool to show the presentation progress like a battery sign on your phone. Decision is on you whether you want to include all or only selected slides and if you show the progress as percentage, numerical or just visual. And to limit your frustration you can refresh or delete your progress bar with one click.

![]() | Insert Progress Bar Click to open the Progress Bar Manager to define the settings and to add a progress bar to the presentation. |
![]() | Refresh Progress Bar If you have inserted a progress bar with Smarter Slides, click to refresh the progress bar. Primarily the progression of the progress bar will be updated, e.g. if you have inserted or deleted a slide. Besides the progression of the progress bar the format, size and position will be refreshed as well. The master layout regarding the format, size and position is determined by the progress bar on the currently selected slide. Note that if a new slide was inserted the progress bar will not automatically be inserted on this slide. Either copy the progress bar from another slide to the new slide and refresh the progress bar or insert the progress bar on all slides again using the “Insert Progress bar” function. |
![]() | Remove Progress Bar If you have inserted a progress bar with Smarter Slides, click to delete the progress bars from each slide. |

![]() | Progress description Besides the visual progress bar, you can choose between “Percentage”, “Numerical” and “None” to decide if and how you want to display the progress. “Percentage” will indicate the progress like this: e.g. “50%” for slide 10 out of 20. “Numerical” will indicate the progress like this: e.g. “10 / 20” for slide 10 out of 20. “None” will only show the visual progress. |
![]() | Position Choose the position (“Top-Left”, “Bottom-Left”, “Top-Right” or “Bottom-Right”) for the progress bar. Depending on your selection the elements will be positioned on the slides. |
![]() | Color options Click to select the color for the respective part of the progress bar. After click on the color field, the Color Selection Manager window will open to enable the color selection. Default colors can be changed within the Custom Settings Manager. |
![]() | Scope Choose between “Select Slides” or “All Slides” to decide on which slides you want to insert the progress bar. “Select Slide” selection will open the Slide Manager to enable the definition of the scope. |
![]() | Exclude non-selected slides from total scope If “Select Slides” is chosen as scope you can choose if either only the selection should be counted as total scope or all slides of the current presentation. |
![]() | OK Click “OK” to insert the progress bar with the currently made settings. After successfully inserting the progress bar, the pop-up window will disappear. |
